WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Panetta announced that the State of California's Office of Emergency Services and Rescue Division (CalOES) received a federal grant totaling $1,380,867.70 from the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA). The funds will be used to reimburse CalOES for the fire suppression and structure protection provided during the Soberanes Fire.

Mesa Del Rey Airport received funds totaling $138,000 to be used for runway improvements and rehabilitation.
