Monterey, CA – United States Representative Jimmy Panetta (CA-19) joined Rep. Deborah Ross (NC-02) and House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) in introducing a bill to improve transparency between taxpayers and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for tax refund claims.

Washington, D.C. – United States Representative Jimmy Panetta (CA-19) joined Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) in announcing the introduction of the Don’t Settle for Corruption Act. That bill would require Congressional approval before the Department of Justice (DOJ) can spend taxpayer dollars on any legal settlement resolving a case involving the President, the President’s immediate family, or any business entity they own or control.

Washington, D.C. – United States Representative Jimmy Panetta (CA-19) and U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) introduced a bicameral resolution to recognize the importance of pollinators to ecosystem health and agriculture in the United States.

The resolution designates June 22 through June 28, 2026, as “National Pollinator Week,” to emphasize the vital role native pollinators play in the health of our ecosystems and economies, and highlight the difficulties many pollinator species face, including the iconic western monarch butterfly.
