This bicameral, bipartisan legislation would advance the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) use of unmanned maritime systems, encourage private sector research and development, and ensure that marine data is readily available and reliable.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Jimmy Panetta (CA-20) this week cosponsored H.R. 4052, the Keep Americans Safe Act, to prohibit the importation, sale, manufacture, transfer, or possession of high-capacity magazines for firearms which hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

"High-capacity magazines allow an assailant to fire dozens or even hundreds of rounds at a time with reduced need to reload," said Congressman Panetta. "By limiting this capability, we can help law enforcement from being outgunned and seek to reduce deadly shooting incidents."
