WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Representatives Jimmy Panetta (CA-19), Zoe Lofgren (CA-18), the Ranking Member of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, Anna Eshoo (CA-16), and Ro Khanna (CA-17) announced that the National Science Foundation (NSF) and U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) will distribute a total of $357,342 to the San Jose State University Research Foundation for two research projects seeking to promote cultural and economic equity in STEM fields, specifically for startups and students.

Santa Cruz, CA – United States Representative Jimmy Panetta (CA-19) announced a new federal grant to support ongoing local cancer research.  Rep. Panetta secured $697,000 for researchers at the University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) to study isoforms driving cancer and drug resistance.
