Bipartisan Plan Reflects Problem Solvers’ July Plan

SALINAS, CA – Today, Congressman Jimmy Panetta (CA-20) released the following statement in response to emerging details of the bipartisan health care plan put forth by Senators Patty Murray and Lamar Alexander:

"I am pleased to see the plan released by Senators Murray and Alexander reflects the key elements of the Problem Solvers Caucus's bipartisan proposal to reduce premiums and provide key fixes to health care that will help the central coast of California. Our bipartisan approach, like the agreement reached by the Senators, represents a major step toward fixing — not killing — the Affordable Care Act. I commend Senators Murray and Alexander for reaching a bipartisan agreement that will help prevent the twenty percent hike in premiums, fewer insured and less coverage choices that would result from a continued partisan approach to health care."
