Congressman Panetta announces winners of the 2019 Congressional Art Competition

WASHINGTON —
Congressman Jimmy Panetta (D-Carmel Valley) announced the winners of the 2019 Congressional Art Competition, on Saturday.
The first place winner, Itzel Rios-Ellis, a senior at Carmel High School, have also been invited to attend a special Congressional Art Competition ceremony with other young artists from around the country in Washington, D.C. at the end of June.
The competition's honorable mentions include:-"Apathetic Sun" by Elizabeth Zavala of Everett Alvarez High School-"Human Crackers" by Zaira Melano of Everett Alvarez High School-"Tu Lucha Es Mi Lucha" by Athena Fosler-Brazil of Carmel High School-"Lost" by Madelaine Jade Lee Hall of Georgiana Bruce Kirby Preparatory School-"Extend" by Hanna Syres of Harbor High School.
