Medicaid Town Hall

I’m hosting another important town hall in Santa Cruz County on Friday, March 28th, at 9:00 AM at Cabrillo College, Samper Hall (6500 Soquel Dr, Aptos, CA 95003).
At this upcoming town hall, I’ll be joined by expert panelists, physicians, and health care providers to discuss the real consequences of the Majority’s budget reconciliation legislation and its potential to slash Medicaid services and other critical health care programs.
The Majority’s proposal directs the House Energy and Commerce Committee to cut at least $880 billion from its annual budget. Cuts of that magnitude could devastate Medicaid, ACA premium assistance, and key health care services that families rely on. In our congressional district alone, nearly 165,000 residents, including 50,000 children and 26,000 seniors, could feel the direct impact.
This proposed budget cut would be devastating for communities across the country. Federal workers are losing their jobs, essential services are being curtailed, and too many Americans are being left behind. That’s why I refuse to back down and will continue to show up, listen to your concerns, and fight for our values.
Join me for this critical discussion about how we push back against these reckless cuts and protect our community.
Please note:
- Space is limited and seating is first come, first served.
- Free parking is reserved in Lots R, M, and L.
- Please check in at the box office before entering the building.
I hope to see you soon as we continue to fight and move forward together for California’s 19th Congressional District.
