Medicaid Town Hall

I’m hosting another town hall in South San Jose on Friday, March 21, at 3:00 PM at Evergreen Valley College, located at 3095 Yerba Buena Road. The town hall will be in the EVC Theater, which is located in the Performing Arts Facility. Please park in Lot 9.
I’ll be joined by expert panelists, physicians, and health care providers who will discuss the real consequences of the Majority’s budget resolution and its potential to cut Medicaid services.
The Majority’s budget resolution set out that the House Energy and Commerce Committee cut at least $880 billion from its annual budget. Based on that committee’s authority and overall budget, that amount could lead to severe cuts in Medicaid, ACA premium assistance, and key health care programs for working families. In our congressional district, such cuts could negatively impact healthcare for nearly 165,000 residents, including 50,000 children and 26,000 seniors.
The proposed budget cut would be devastating for communities across the country. Federal workers are losing their jobs, essential services are being curtailed, and Americans are being left to fend for themselves. That’s why I refuse to back down, always show up, listen to your concerns, and fight for our values. So, join me for this critical town hall to discuss how we push back against these reckless cuts and protect our community.
I look forward to seeing you soon and discussing our work to fight and move forward together in California’s 19th Congressional District.
