Congressman Panetta Announces Federal Grant for Salinas Municipal Airport

SALINAS, CA – Today, Congressman Jimmy Panetta (D-Carmel Valley) announced that the Salinas Municipal Airport was awarded a federal grant totaling $495,540.00 from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The funding will be used for runway rehabilitation.

"Federal support for local infrastructure investments is vitally important. I was proud to work with the Salinas Municipal Airport to secure these funds," said Congressman Panetta. "These improvements to the runway will provide safe, reliable aviation conditions to the community and support our region's businesses."
